Since moving to Folkestone in 2013, I have been captivated by the visible history Folkestone has to offer. Her paintings explore the rich past, textures and intrigue that can be found in this seaside town. It is hard to pigeonhole my work as there is an obvious disparity within the exhibition, which has given it the title Erstwhile and Reverie to express this conflict. As a dancer, teacher and artist I have found it hard to fit into a particular box. I think this is prevalent in my work, as there is a constant friction between my fascination with my surroundings and my ability to get swept away in my imagination, thus creating a diverse catalogue of work.
